Meanwhile at the audience chamber, the king and queen and Crawford were being firmed with Misteria. Luna, Relic and the siblings watched the whole thing from behind each column. The king sighed and said, "I just don't know what we're going to do with you, young lady." "Mama, Daddy, I'm sorry, I just forget," Said Misteria. "I'm afraid that's not enough, Misteria." Said the queen. "As a result of your careless behavior--" "Careless and reckless behavior!" added Crawford. "The entire celebration was-" said the king. "It was almost ruined!" added Crawford again, "Almost completely destroyed! We should thank the creator of the ocean that the great Manaphy had a great time! And to think," as he started being overdramatic. "This concert was to be the pinnacle of my distinguish career, A confirmation that a Crawduant can more than just a bottom feeding Pokémon of ocean, now no thanks to you I'm now the laughingstock of the entire kingdom!" "But it wasn't her fault!" Said Luna as she rushed in to the throne. "Uhh… A Gyarados came!" as she tries to explain to the king and queen, "and it chases us with a Grrrrrrrrr! And a Roar! And a Swish! And then Whoa! Then finally, we were safe. Then the Pelipper came, said was this is this, and was that is that…" "Pelipper?" said the king. Luna realized what she said and hoped she didn't, so she hides under Misteria's long hair and she looked at her like she's a tattletale. "You went up the surface again, didn't you, didn't you?" the king asked. "Nothing happened." She replied. "Misteria," he said. "How many times must we go through with this? You've could've been seen by one of those barbarians! By one of those humans!" "Daddy, they're not barbarians!" she justified. "They are dangerous!" he said, "Do you think I want to see my youngest daughter sneered up by some fisheater's hook?" "I'm sixteen years old! I'm not a chil-" "Don't you dare take that tone of voice with me, young lady! As long you live under my ocean, you'll obey my rules!" "But if you would just lis-" "Not another word! And I am never, never wanted to hear you going up to the surface again! Is that clear?!" Misteria was upset and swam away. The king finally notices the children hiding, "All of you who are hiding, go to your rooms!" He shouted, and the children swam to their rooms.
The king sighed and sat down on his throne with his queen. Crawford scoffed, "Teenagers, they think they know everything. I'm telling you, your highness, you give them an inch, they swim all over." "Do you two think… I was…I was a bit hard on her?" asked the king. "Yes, my dear husband." Said the queen. "After all, she's just a girl. She may not think like you, but she is your daughter." "If I would say, your highness," Crawford interjects. "That was brilliant parenting, could've do more justice than your father the king did. Why, if Misteria was my daughter, I'd show her who's boss. Not of this flipping up and down to the surface and all of this nonsense, no sir, I'd keep her under tight control." After Crawford was talking, the king and queen had the same idea. "You absolutely right, Crawford." Said the king. "Of course." Crawford agrees. "Misteria needs constant supervision," said the king, "to keep her of trouble, to watch over her and find out where she's been." "Yes your highness, very brilliant idea. I'll find the fool who will be suited for the job." Said Crawford. "Actually," said the queen. "We've been thinking that you are just the Crawdaunt do it." He didn't like it a bit. "But…" "Unless of course, you have any objections?" she said. "Umm……No, not really, as you wish, your highness." Crawford hesitated and left the room.

At the corridor, Crawford didn't like the idea a bit at all. "How did I get myself into this situation?" he said to himself, "I should be at home writing symphonies, not tagging along with that girl. All I know is that she could be at her room all day playing her friends, doing makeover with her sisters and listening...to…music…" He spotted Misteria with Luna and Relic with her satchel. They looked around as if they don't want to notice them and swam away. "Hmm," said Crawford, "maybe this won't be a bad idea after all." Then he followed them. He follow them almost half a mile from the kingdom, he can hardly swim another inch. He spotted them going to a grotto that was shut by a large stone slab. Relic and Misteria pulled the stone out and opened the way in, the three looked and see if no one was around and quickly swam in. Crawford saw his chance and quickly swam in before the slab seals the cave shut; one of his legs got stuck. He pulled and he heaved and he hoed but it was no good. He saw a little kelp and pulled and rocketed through the cavern and he bonked his head to an hourglass. He rubbed his poor head then he can't believe what he saw.  

Inside Misteria's grotto was filled with human things, vases, pots, pans, dishes, trays, jewelry, toys, cloths, paintings, as if it was a museum. He saw Misteria sitting down and Relic and Luna looking aside her. "Misty, are you okay?" Luna asked. "Don't think to hard on your father;" said Relic. "I know he can be hard sometimes, but he only did these things to protect you. After all, he really loves you very much." "I know," said Misteria. "But if I only make him understand. I just don't see things they way he does, I just don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad." Misteria started singing.

Misteria:  Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collection's complete? Wouldn't you think I'm the girl, the girl who has everything? Look at this trove, treasures untold, how many wonders can one cavern hold? Looking around here, you'd think? Sure, she's got everything, I've got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, I've got who's-its and what's-its galore, you want thing-a-mabobs? I've got twenty. But who cares? No big deal. I want more.

I wanna be where the people are, I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancin', walkin' around on those, Whaddya call 'em? Oh, feet. Flippin' your fins, you don't get too far; Legs are required for jumpin', dancin', Strollin' along down the…What's that word again? Street. Up where they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun, Wanderin' free, wish I could be part of that world.

What would I give if I could live outta these waters? What would I pay to spend a day Warm on the sand? Betcha on land they understand bet they don't reprimand their daughters, bright young women, sick of swimmin', ready to stand.

And ready to know what the people know, ask 'em my questions and get some answers, what's a fire, and why does it...What's the word? Burn. When's it my turn? Wouldn't I love? Love to explore that shore up above, out of the sea, wish I could be part of that world.

As Misteria gazes up where the moonlight hits the hole, she and her friends heard
a crash. Luna hides in an armor helm and Relic hides behind a set of glassware. Misteria saw Crawford in a chest with jewelry and gold ring. He crawled out and shakes and brushes the jewels out of his legs and pincher. "Misteria," said Crawford as he trying not to lose his temper. "What are you...How could you...WHAT IS ALL THIS?!" "It's uhh," said Misteria as she tries to put her words together. "It's my collection." She finishes with an insincere laugh. "Oh," Said Crawford calmly. "I see, your collection of human things, how nice." Then he loses temper and shouted, "If your mother and father knew about this, they're going to-""You're not going to tell them, are you?" Asked Luna. "Please Crawford," said Misteria, "they would never understand." "I can assure you," Said Relic, "it just a phase she's going through, it well pass." "Well," Said Crawford. "I hope so. Now then princess, we must never speak of this place, let's go home." Just then, Misteria saw a boat above her with beautiful lights. Misteria, who couldn't resist knowing what's going on, decided to check it. As she went up to the surface at night, she saw a ship that's shooting fireworks. She and friend's watches, but Misteria went to the ship. "Misteria!" shout Crawford, "Misteria! Please! Come back!"

Misteria finally reaches to the ship. She climbed up to a gangway saw a lot of human sailors and their Pokémon having a great party. Music was playing, joy was among them, and food and drinks was served. And no on had more fun than Pikachu, he was having more fun than anyone. Just then, he stopped, and sniffed at something, something that he never sniffed before. And he thought he saw something that never saw before either, so he decides to investigate. He spotted Misteria and she hide behind the wall hoping she wouldn't be found, but she was. Pikachu never seen a girl like her, he began to be very fond of her and licks her on the cheek. "Pikachu," Ashton called, "Here boy!" he heard the call, ran straight to him. As Pikachu tries to show Aston what he saw, Misteria gazed at Ashton for the first time ever. She never felt a way for a human like Ashton before, especially if you're a mermaid. "Hey there, Misty!" said a voice, it was Pelly, "Quite a show, eh?" "Pelly, be quiet, they'll hear you." She said. "So, whatcha watchin?" he asked. She showed him Ashton playing a flute while Pikachu was dancing to it. "I never had seen a human close up before, especially him. But, he is very handsome." She said. "I don't know," Pelly pondered, "He's small and yellow and he's electric too me." "No," laughed Misteria, "not that one, the one playing the flute." "Gentleman," announced Oakford. "If we may have silence." The music stopped, and everyone paid attention to him. "Now then," he continued, "To finish off this momentous occasion, it is now my honor and privilege to award our esteem prince Ashton with a very special, very expensive, very large birthday present." He showed Ashton a really big present wrapped in brown wrapping with a big red bow. "Ah, Oakford," said Ashton, "you old coot, you shouldn't have." "I know." said Oakford sarcastically, "Happy Birthday, Ashton!" One of the sailors pulled out the wrapping and reviled a statue of Ashton in royal robes and a crown holding a sword while one foot stand on the Ketchum "K" royal emblem. Ashton was very query about it and Pikachu was the only one who hates it. "Gee Oak," he said while being concern, "It's uh…It's uh…it's really something." "Thank you," said Oakford, "I commissioned it myself; Of course, I had hoped it would be a wedding present." "Oh, come on Oak, don't start." Said Ashton, "You're not still sore that I didn't fall for the princess of Rosehaven, are you?" "Oh, Ashton, it isn't me or your mother alone. The entire kingdom wants to see you happily settle down with the right girl. That's what your father did when he met your mother, god bless his soul. At least do me and your mother a favor." "Well, she's out there somewhere. It's just that…I haven't found her." "Well, perhaps you haven't been looking hard enough." "Believe me, Oak. If I found, it will hit me like lighting." Somehow lighting flashes through the sky, and the wind was blowing.

The clear starry night turn into a stormy night. "Hurricane a-coming!" Shouted one of the sailors. "Stern fast!" said one on the crows nest, "Secured the riggings!" Everyone and Pokémon on the ship was bracing themselves for the biggest storm they ever faced.  Luna, Relic, and Crawford were also bracing themselves too; even Pelly was pulled by the wind. In fact, Ashton even helped the captain with the steering. Misteria slipped her hands from the gangway rails and splashes to the ocean, she went up to how the ship was handling. Just then, a lighting bolt struck one of the sails and started a fire and was heading towards the rocks! "Look out!" Shouted Ashton. Ashton, Oakford, the crew and the Pokémon flew overboard as the ship crashed, even the statue fell and sank. Everyone was getting on to their lifeboats even Ashton and Oakford. But Ashton saw Pikachu on the poop deck while the ship was on fire; he swam back and rescues him. The ship's flaming mast fell and crashed into where the fireworks and powder was stowed. Ashton went to Pikachu and shouted, "Jump Pikachu! Come boy, Jump! You can do it, Pikachu! You're the bravest Pokémon!" He jumped into Ashton's arms and carries him. But one of the wood floors cracked and caught Ashton's foot and throws Pikachu overboard. Oakford grabbed Pikachu and shouted, "Ashton! Get out of there!" But his foot was stuck. Suddenly, BOOM! The ship exploded! The crew, Pokémon, Oakford and Pikachu gasped at that horrible sight. Misteria saw it and raced to find Ashton. She looked and looked over the debris, but he couldn't be found. She finally saw him floating on a plank of wood and fell into the ocean. Misteria saved him and took him to shore.

In the morning, on the shore, Misteria and Pelly watches over Ashton. "Do you think he's dead?" Misteria wondered. "Well," said Pelly, "it's hard to see." He put his foot next to his head. "Sorry but… I can't make out a heartbeat." "No look!" she said as Ashton starts to breath. "He's breathing." Misteria looked at him and put her hand to his face. "He's so wonderful." Luna, Relic, and Crawford saw her with Ashton. Crawford felt like his mouth just dropped in the shock. She began to sing.

Misteria: What would I give to live where you are? What would I pay to stay here beside you? What would I do to see you smiling at me?

Where would we walk? Where would we run? If we could stay all day in the sun? Just you and me, and I could be part of your world.

Ashton heard her and opened his eyes and saw her for the first in his life, he never met someone so beautiful with a beautiful voice as well, like an angel who saved his life. Suddenly she saw Oakford, Pikachu and Ashton's mother, Queen Marlina racing to him. Misteria and her friends swam back before they were spotted. Pikachu was only one who spotted them. "Oh, my son, thank god you're alive." Said the queen as Oakford picks him up. "Are you right?" "I'm fine, mother." Said Ashton, "A girl rescued me. You should've been here, she was beautiful and she was singing. Mother, she had the most beautiful voice." "Ah, Ashton, I believe you drank too much sea water, let's take you home." Said Oakford. "Come on, Pikachu!" Called the queen. Meanwhile far away from them, Misteria and her friends stayed far away as possible not to be seen. "We just got to forget this whole thing ever happen." Said Crawford to Relic and Luna, "The sea king and queen will never know. You won't tell him, I won't tell him, I will stay in one piece." Misteria climbed on rock and watches Ashton and sings.

Misteria: I don't know when, I don't know how, but I know something's starting right now. Watch and you'll see, some day I'll be part of your world!

As Misteria thought things were going her way, the two Sharpedos Betta and Zetto watches from behind. At the sea witch's lair, Jessica laughs as saw a picture of her in her bubble. "Oh no, no, no, no, no!" Said Jessica, "I can't stand it! It's far too easy! The child is in love with a human. And not just any human, a prince! Oh, mommy and daddy will like that." She gazed to see her collection of weird, ugly kelp-like creatures. "Never than less, King Neptuno and Queen Coraleona lovesick girl would make charming addition to my little garden." She laughs an evil laugh waiting of her plan to set in motion.
